Job Description



Brand: *American Eagle Outfitters

Department: Store Associate

Responsibilities
  • Partners with the Stock Manager to implement and maintain the merchandise standards to ensure customer service excellence
  • Supports the execution of the merchandise handling and replenishment processes and all aspects of visual presentation within the store and
  • Maintains an organized stockroom and serves as LOD to provide sales floor supervision as required.
  • Supports and ensures execution of all shipment receiving and processing procedures to floor ready standards
  • Partners with appropriate leadership to direct shipment placement on sales floor
  • Ensures floor is replenished per company guidelines
  • Performs stock transfers of damaged and defective merchandise, completes re-tickets and charge sends according to Stock Supervisor Manual
  • Provides feedback to leadership regarding merchandise-handling concerns/opportunities
  • Executes development and training plans for Brand Experience team members
  • Trains and coaches Brand Experience team members to meet productivity standards
  • Provides on-the-job training to all employees on company initiatives and standards to ensure that everyone fully understands company direction
  • Executes markdowns in a timely and accurate manner
  • Tracks productivity and ensures that the team is meeting company standards for all best practices
  • Maintains brand integrity in all areas of visual display
  • Maintains all shipment related paperwork to meet audit requirements
  • Shares feedback from customers to leadership team to improve overall customer experience
  • Ensures all back room areas including bathrooms and employee break areas are cleaned regularly
  • Ensures store is a neat, clean and safe environment for all employees
    Qualifications
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising teams preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver around the store and stockroom.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work overnights, weekends, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business.
