Lands’ End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and home products, is currently looking for a National Sales Manager for our School Uniform division. Lands’ End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and in Sears stores. With over 45 years of experience, Lands’ End is world renowned for superior customer service and is recognized as an innovator in the industry. Our School Uniform division is considered a business-to-business and a business to customer division while servicing the uniform needs of K-12 schools across the country. Schools rely on us to institute a uniform solution. Whatever the need, schools approach us for much the same reason the individual consumer turns to Lands' End: exceptional quality, value and service. Growth and success to date has been driven by catalog and direct marketing. The future growth of this business will come from building a sales competency that compliments the catalog. The National Sales Manager must be the leader in building and leading the sales organization.

The National Sales Manager will be focused leveraging the brand to achieve aggressive growth through the development of new and existing school accounts. Key to your success will be the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of Account Executives to acquire new accounts, as well as retain and build upon opportunities within existing accounts through effective business relationships. In addition, you will work with cross-functional business partners to ensure that product and program offerings are aligned to deliver on client deliverables while ensuring a superior customer experience. Our Uniform division has set the stage to achieve significant growth targets, and the National Sales Manager will be integral to the division’s success.

Qualifications
A successful candidate will have 5+ years of related sales/sales management experience preferably in the K-12 market place with proven abilities in the following areas:

  • Versatile sales and sales management skills – Business to business, Direct Marketing, Internet, Retail
  • Ability to build and lead a sales acquisition organization
  • Previous experience managing a successful sales team – demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop account management and business development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to measure success through effective sales goals and metrics
  • Ability to quickly understand and respect how to leverage the Lands’ End brand in the selling process
  • Strong leadership and business skills – solution oriented in a changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to serve as a strong voice within the business and with the customer
  • Ability to understand and manage through complex issues – analyze situations, research alternatives, and develop strategies with a focus on the customer experience
  • Ability to be a successful team member, effective collaborating with others on key decisions and initiatives while delivering results
  • Ability and track record of implementing change successfully
  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing or related area is desired.
