We are also growing in reputation, as a leader in areas such as work/life family culture, 'green' building design, frontier technology, and strong corporate social responsibility.As a Credit Officer at PNC, you will joining PNC's Credit Risk Management group which sets the standards by which PNC makes and delivers borrowing decisions for its many varied customers. You will be working with a customer base which includes a broad range of companies ranging from small privately held enterprises to the largest publicly held companies. Since PNC has a predominate focus on the Middle Market, you will be supporting a broad range of industries, including manufacturers, distributors, service companies, real estate, asset based lending, non-for profits, healthcare, energy, metals and mining to highlight a few. You will be joining a team of seasoned credit risk professionals managing our credit risk, utilizing sophisticated credit strategies and top quality research. You'll be based in Saint Louis, Missouri. In a typical day you will work on client teams within an assigned portfolio to deliver ideas, advice and solutions that help our clients achieve their goals. Your principal focus on this team will be to utilize your analytical skills, experience and judgment along with your knowledge of PNC's Credit Risk Management and underwriting requirements to determine and gather the information necessary to evaluate the credit worthiness and financial conditions of borrowers in accordance with PNC Bank's standards. In this position, you will interact directly with clients as well as product specialists across PNC. You will also review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements to evaluate the overall strengths and weaknesses of the borrower. Based on your analysis, you will help structure borrower solutions, coordinate the documentation of these loans and make recommendations for risk rating the clients within your assigned portfolio. As your knowledge of credit risk continues to grow, you may assist or have primary responsibility for overall management of an assigned portfolio of corporate credits, including ongoing monitoring and assessment of the credit worthiness of individual customers and the underwriting, structuring and documenting of clients within the assigned portfolio.The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Must posses highly advanced credit analysis skills.Ability to effectively use personal computers and various applications including Microsoft office and Lotus Notes. Demonstrated analytical skills. Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Enjoy working in a team environment. Must be self-motivated and posses proficient time management skills. 5-7 years of experience participating in lending or credit activities.
