As a Software Engineer, you are a member of PNC's Technology division. More specially, you will be a member of PNC's Information Technology Performance Management (ITPM) team. This position is part of a team of Continuous Improvement Engineers that are focused on developing and implementing a Balanced Scorecard for the PNC Technology division. Members of this group are experts in applying Six Sigma DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, and or Balanced Scorecarding methodologies. The Balanced Scorecard will provide the CIOs with insight into key business metrics across the PNC Technology organization so that continuous improvements can be realized. You will report to the System Director of the ITPM - Service Quality group. More specially, you will be working with our Oracle/Hyperion Performance Scorecarding application to design, develop, and implement balanced scorecards across the PNC Technology organization. This position is responsible for the functional administration of the Oracle/Hyperion Performance Scorecarding tool to include:
  • Configure Oracle Performance Scorecard for Scorecard modeling
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of the developer tools and analysis tools
  • Assist with configuring Oracle Performance Scorecard for Scorecard modeling
  • Assign security to Scorecards, Data Owners, Result Collectors, Target Setters, and Annotation creators
  • Set 'alert' status for missing data points
  • Ability to manage all the design functions throughout the application
  • Design/develop/oversee the development of the access and analysis application (e.g. reports, queries)
  • Responsible for metadata and portal integrations
  • Design/develop/oversee the ETL programs/instructions for the ETL tool
  • Loading of extract data
  • Responsible for the consistency and integrity of the data within the Oracle Performance Scorecard application
  • Drive consistency within the scorecard tool with development/application of 'scorecard' standards
  • Manage overall Scorecard tool governance
  • Your normal working hours are Mondays through Fridays, with a variety of activities set by scorecarding and project demands. In your role, you will draw upon your Software Engineering talents to drive scorecard development and the continuous improvement culture. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :Required
  • A bachelors degree
  • Minimum three years experience in information technology
  • Balance Scorecarding solutions experience (e.g., Hyperion Performance Scorecard)
  • Business Intelligence tools experience (Oracle; Hyperion or similar)
  • SQL development/Informatica tools experience
  • Database administration experience (Oracle, Essbase, SQL Server or similar)
  • Understanding of enterprise data architecture and metadata management
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and reporting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a team environment
  • Preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • Statistical software tool experience (e.g., Minitab)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong change management skills
