As a Director of Corporate Actions in our Global Custody division, you will effectively manage and organize the work of the team while you carry out the authorization of market instructions prior to agent deadlines. You will ensure that all key processing events are reconciled and processed by the team.  You will use your leadership skills to identify training requirements for staff and provide them with the tools to develop their ability to carry out their role to a high level of efficiency and accuracy. You will maintain risk within the levels set by the management team and be sure we adhere to controls and procedures to reduce risk.  As the Director, you will be charged with enabling your team's ability to meet or exceed SLA standards in relation to client query responses.  You will utilize your performance management expertise to monitor the team's performance while providing feedback through regular one to one appraisals.  Additionally, you will get involved in projects and provide input and support of project initiatives while analyzing, recommending and implementing project and process improvements.  Your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will be utilized when you develop relationships with external and internal key contacts. 


 

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 


  • At least 5 years of experience  in Global Corporate Actions processing with a  minimum of 5 years in a leadership role including global market exposure

  • A leader who has the ability to think laterally with a drive to improve the processes and mitigate risk

  • Ability to work under pressure         

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Global Custody operations

  • Emphasis and experience in reducing operational risks associated within corporate actions and a focus on improving operational procedure

  • Working knowledge of XSP, Global Plus, Amtrust, SWIFT, Bloomberg as well as various vendor feeds such as Xshare, IDC

  • Bachelors degree preferred
