As a Lead Sourcing Specialist (Supply Chain Management), you are a member of PNC's Corporate Purchasing Department and will support the Corporate Services Commodity team which is responsible for spend management within the following areas: Data Services, Temporary and Contract Labor, Professional and Legal Services, Marketing and Outsourced Services. PNC's Supply Chain Management operations are among the most significant within leading financial institutions. This position can be based in either Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Your Supply Chain Management experience will be greatly utilized as you independently manage the strategic sourcing processes and lead process direction, department measurements, oversight and methods for company contracts. You will have the opportunity to direct work flow, assist in defining roles and responsibilities, provide assistance and technical guidance to both business partners and sourcing leaders. This position will work with a high level of autonomy and will provide feedback to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and CPO.
Your main responsibilities will include supporting the Corporate Services Commodity team in the following ways:
- Developing expertise within this assigned commodities area.
- Identification of sourcing opportunities.
- Conducting vendor due dilligence.
- Lead price negotiations.
- Development and schedule writing, preparation and execution of contracts.
- Providing information and exerting influence to finalize award decisions.
- Utilizing e-Sourcing tools.
- Promotion of Supply Chain Managment across the corporation.
