Hours:  Sunday-Thursday 12:00pm-9:00am

Responsibilities:

 

As an Operations Engineer at Albridge, you will coordinate operating activities on the 3rd shift in a 7x24 environment and ensure that data received overnight is processed and ready for client use by start of business. Your attention to detail will ensure SLA compliance by carefully setting up and executing batch and online processes. Your experience with job schedulers will allow you to quickly master the Albridge TIDAL repository of scripts and use appropriate control parameters to facilitate the data processing schedule.  You will monitor job execution and file delivery status and react to issues as they occur.  Your well-developed problem solving skills will allow you to independently troubleshoot most issues and determine when escalation is required.  Utilizing your communication skills and team-focused attitude you will partner with other support teams to quickly identify and resolve issues before the client is even aware of their occurrence.  You will support project teams by  aiding incode deployments, organizing large data loads for new client implementations, and ensuring new environments meet company standards. The hours for this position are 12:00 AM - 9:00 AM.

            

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 


  • Minimum of 6 years of operational experience demonstrating success in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment

  • Minimum of 2 years in the Financial Services industry planning and executing file processing schedules that consistently meet client needs regardless of market conditions

  • Extensive experience using scheduling software to control processing jobs including the use of control parameters to customize batches to specific scheduled needs

  • Proven experience using FTP and manual download, including configuration and troubleshooting, in a data-feed environment where SLA compliance depended on file delivery

  • The ability to use standard Unix tools and SQL queries against Oracle databases to monitor job progress and to ensure accurate completion of batch processing

  • Experience applying fundamental knowledge of the Windows operating system, commands, and utilities to ensure successful file transmissions and file processing

  • Excellent time management skills and the demonstrated ability to consistently meet SLAs with minimal supervision

  • Proven experience using well developed organizational and communication skills to partner with support teams and deliver timely problem resolutions
