Ann Taylor's rich heritage dates to 1954, when founder Robert Liebeskind, the son of a dressmaker, opened his first shop. Back then, Ann Taylor represented a best-selling dress style that had been gifted to the storeowner by his father. The Ann Taylor design embodied the well-dressed woman, and the Ann Taylor legacy was born. By 1983, Ann Taylor had grown from a regional, primarily East Coast brand, to a national brand with 47 stores across the United States. Today, the Ann Taylor brand is represented by three divisions: Ann Taylor Stores, Ann Taylor LOFT, and Ann Taylor Factory. At the end of Fiscal 2007, Ann Taylor operated 869 stores throughout the United States, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and generated more than $2.3 billion in sales.

Sales Associate
Position Requirements:
-Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that the client remains the top priority. Takes initiative to build a loyal client base.
-Follow Directions: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision
-Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain within Ann Taylor’s guidelines.
-Communication: Demonstration of both verbal and written communication skills to Store Manager, Senior Assistant, Assistant Manager, Manager in Training, internal and external clients; strong enough command of the English language to read, speak and write effectively.
-Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error.

Sales Lead
Position Requirements:
-Client Service: Ensures that the client remains the top priority
-Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
-Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain within Ann Taylor’s guidelines
-Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error. Ability to prepare nightly deposit as necessary. Captures accurate information for all transactions including signatures, addresses, and original receipt data
