Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops with the Divisional Vice President the seasonal calendar, working closely with Marketing Category-Planning to provide an overall vision and plan for each season.
Develops compelling marketing strategies, value propositions, messaging and marketing plans that are relevant to identified customer segments by season. Manages a team that assesses relevant customer, competitor, and company data to inform seasonal planning.
Partners with Segment/Category Managers and Directors to detail the seasonal plans and influence Merchants assortment and services to fit Seasonal needs
Works with and across all the Category Directors/Managers to facilitate integrated marketing strategy and plan, that is comprehensive across the store, for each season
Articulates the value proposition and key messaging for each season. Continually refines to optimize proposition against competitive and customer context.
Coordinates and aligns Marketing Functions as well as other customer touchpoints such as in-store teams, Services and online by season
Creates and manages the marketing plans and success metrics by season and develop ROI models
Oversees development and maintenance of the Go to Market Plans for the execution of seasonal marketing programs
Reviews, and initiates when necessary, market research to anticipate competition and market trends and translate consumer attitudes into new directions. Stays on top of all data sources for the season including competitive and customer information.
Tracks and analyzes market trends, pricing, product launches and promotions to use when developing future programs.
Creates post mortem analysis of promotions and evaluate next-year’s needs in conjunction with the merchants to develop monthly go-to-market strategy and plans.
Analyzes total program results and present recommendations for changes in strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Business or Marketing, or its equivalent experience, is required; MBA is preferred
8-10 years in marketing. Retail marketing strongly preferred. Experience across various channels and multiple disciplines of marketing (print, direct, event, creative, etc.) is a plus. Experience with program development and implementation within the marketing planning and budgeting process and creating, developing, and managing a business plan is a plus. Experience in managing cross-functional teams is key.
