Job Description: Maximize sales and profits, minimize costs and create an environment that promotes excellent quality of work life for all associates while managing all aspects of store operations, including providing excellent customer service and giving customers an outstanding first and lasting impression of West Marine. The Assistant manager 1 is responsible for creating and environment where all their associates exemplify West Marine�s Mission Statement and Secrets of Success.
Job Requirements
A bachelor�s degree in business or related field with one to two years supervisory experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Excellent communication skills. Familiarity with MS Office products helpful. Must be able to work a standard workday as set by West Marine. Must be able to lift forty pounds to shoulder height unassisted. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work, evenings, weekends and holidays. Boating experience helpful.
