Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:Assess and repair equipment and machinery in Distribution Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of all PLCs, VFD controls and conveyors, electric motor circuits, machine control for material handling equipment in facility.
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical material handling equipment in facility.
  • Electrical motor and controls trouble shooting.
  • Assist in the development of junior maintenance associates
  • Help maintain parts procedures and inventory control.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping (work orders, time sheets, parts request)

Job Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of conveyor controls and PLC’s, VFD, Ladder Logic programing. Full working knowledge of computers. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of spare parts procedures and inventory control.Knowledge to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Electrical motor control; strong electrical/mechanical skills; 30 – 480V.
  • Five to eight years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent welding, soldering and cutting torch skills.
  • Well organized to fill out and perform work orders.
  • Heavy lifting...50+ pounds.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Able to work any shift and weekends, as scheduled.
  • Operate all hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multi-meter, tachometer, welder, solder, cutting torch, vibrator analyzer, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks and CRTs.
  • Operate all lift trucks including walkie rider, order picker, turret truck, scissors lift and boom-lift.
  • Perform all jobs safely.
  • Be able to work with little supervision.
  • Strong electrical skills, including some knowledge of electronics, including boards & proms.
