Job Description

Hours:  7:00AM - 4:00PM

As an employee of PNC Financial Services Group, you become part of an organization committed to customers, employees, investors, and the communities in which we do business. PNC is an established, growing and successful financial services company, with businesses organized around retail and commercial banking, asset management, and funds processing. Our branches are concentrated in thirteen states and the District of Columbia; additional offices are located nationwide and internationally. We are growing in size and through recent acquisitions have become the fifth largest bank by deposits in the US.  We are also growing in reputation, as a leader in areas such as work/life family culture, "green" building design, frontier technology, and strong corporate social responsibility.

As a Operations Analyst II, you will be a part of PNC's Treasury Management Healthcare Operations department.  This position is based at our Firstside Center location in downtown Pittsburgh, one of the nation's leading "green" operations buildings and is easily accessible by public transportation

PNC has combined leading clearinghouse capabilities with premier treasury management services to help healthcare providers and payers with a way to minimize administrative costs and maximize cash flow through Healthcare Advantage (HCA).  This service allows PNC to electronically connect providers (hospitals) and payers (insurance companies) for the exchange of claims and remittance transactions.  PNC is the first bank to receive Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation (EHNAC) accreditations for both its lockbox and its clearinghouse operations.

In this role you will utilize your customer service experience to pro-actively support clients (providers, payers and value added networks) in a production-oriented environment.  Your ability to understand the flow of healthcare transactions will aid you in providing outstanding service as this team prepares clients to migrate to the HCA system.  You will have extensive interaction with both internal and external customers.  Your demonstrated problem resolution skills will serve you well in this role and you will be expected to resolve issues in a timely fashion. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a structured role are essential.  You will have the confidence of working with state-of-the-art technology combined with a team of peers for support.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience required.

  • Previous non-clinical healthcare experience strongly preferred (claims processing, hospital admissions, etc.)

  • Previous bank operations experience helpful.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills a must.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly structured role within a team-based environment.
