Hat World & Lids is recognized as a leading retailer of officially licensed and branded athletic fashion headwear that serves the core fan and fashion-conscious customer by offering a vast assortment of college, MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL teams, as well as other specialty fashion categories in all the latest styles. Some stores also offer a strong complementary line of licensed apparel, and custom embroidery capability to reach the trend savvy mid-teen to mid-20s customer. As of 2008, more than 300 stores have custom embroidery capability.

Founded in just 1995, HW&L is comprised of more than 850 mall-based, airport and street level, and factory outlet stores nationwide, as well as Puerto Rico and Canada. We also operate smaller retail brands under the names: Lids Kids, Hat Shack, Hat Zone, Head Quarters and Cap Connection. The Company also sells its products and promotes its stores through the Internet sites lids.com(tm), hatworld.com(tm), and lidscyo.com(tm). The Indianapolis based company is a subsidiary of Genesco Inc.
