About the Company

Founded in 1972, Public Storage has grown to become the world’s largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities. In addition, Public Storage provides a full range of related products and services to more than one million customers.

Today, Public Storage manages over 2,100 self-storage facilities located in 38 U.S. states and seven western European nations with approximately 135 million net rentable square feet. In many markets, consumers can also choose the convenience of our container storage service with PS Pickup. Through one of our affiliates, PS Business Parks, we have an equity interest in approximately 19 million net rentable square feet of commercial and industrial space located in eight states.

Public Storage is a member of the S&P 500 Index and the Forbes Global 2000. Common and preferred stock for Public Storage trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
