FACILITIES DIRECTOR
Job Title: Facilities Director
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Summary
Responsible for the operation and administration of the total maintenance of the casino and resort properties, including but not limited to, the energy and mechanical plant, heating, air conditioning and ventilation, the upkeep and preventative maintenance of all electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, sewage plant, water supply wells and storage, sprinkler and fire safety equipment, housekeeping and other mechanical functions.

- Warehouse Manager
The Facilities Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Learns floor plans of the building. Becomes knowledgeable about the construction and the historical maintenance of the property.
- Responsible for understanding all 'as built' drawings from the architect.
- Works with suppliers to obtain all necessary instructions on the use of all equipment and then conducts training programs for the training of the engineering, repair and maintenance staff to operate and care for equipment.
- Responsible for the development and operation of the preventive maintenance program and work order system.
- Responsible for the financial operation, profit and loss statement/budgeting and reports for the departments.
- Responsible for maintaining the energy cost management program.
- Responsible for the specifications and coordinates, with the Purchasing Department, the bidding and purchasing of the capital equipment for the departments.
- In conjunction with administrative projects, may be asked to assist in overseeing and generating information for other department capital expenditures.
- Assists in the coordination of plans to mitigate revenue loss during times of disruption such as temporary property ingress/egress and traffic patterns.
- Works with the Marketing Department to assist in the planning and execution of all special events.
- Responsible for the prompt repair and maintenance of facilities.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of 'plant equipment' and its inventory.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the public areas, hotel and back of the house facilities.
- Responsible for the maintenance and image of the grounds, parking lots and landscaping and signage.
- Maintains all company vehicles.
- Handles all maintenance contracts on facilities equipment.
- Analyzes HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting and related issues to determine whether upgrades are in order.
- Performs audits to support facility planning.
- Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
Education and/or Experience
HS/GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field; 10 years related experience or in construction trade management; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Casino experience in engineering, repair, maintenance and transportation strongly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to use company vehicles.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills and knowledge of AutoCAD, Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to read blueprints and working drawings. Must have the ability to establish critical paths, monitor construction progress, read and interpret financial statements to manage specialists in the fields of electrical, gas, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment. Must have the ability to size up problems quickly, repair equipment promptly and keep the operation going to the customer's satisfaction at all times.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
